St John's Wort (Hypericum) Infused Oil

From maceration of fresh flowering tops of St John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) in Sweet Almond oil (Prunus dulcis) in a ratio of 1:5

General Description: The hypericum buds and flowers are submerged in sweet almond oil for a number of days, then agitated by a pump and finally filtered to produce the macerated oil.

St. Johns Wort is used in lotions to treat wounds where there is nerve tissue damage, bruises and inflammation of the muscle and skin. It is also used in anti-wrinkle creams as a skin tightener.

Historical Background: Traditionally used to help stimulate tissue repair.
